Mighty Mount Untersburg

Listen to the cold wind as it whistles beautiful tunes and you are overlooking the beautiful city of Salzburg. Sitting on a bench with your family watching clouds pass below you. Mighty Mount Untersburg, 3500 feet above lies a beautiful base which can only be reached by a cable car ride which lasts 10 whole minutes.

Untersburg a mountain located a little far away from the city but can easily be reached by taking bus number 25 which takes you directly to the mountain, and also takes you to the Helbrun palace where you can find the trick fountains. Once you reach there all you have to the do is buy a ticket or show your Salzburg card and wait for your turn.

Take the cable car up. Watch how the city and mankind slowly disappears into the passing by clouds, breathe the fresh, refreshing air, feel the ground below your feet just slip away, shiver as the temperature slowly drops and yell as the cable car sways due to the fierce wind.

Carefully walk out of the cable car onto some land (finally). Step out of the first room that you walk into, to see the true view. Look down the mountain, (its pretty high ain't it?). See the beautiful sun closer than ever. Try locating the city that just faded into the passing clouds. Stay there for a while and experience yourself  inside a cloud, not even being able to see the person in front of you. Take a sip of some hot coffee.

Go up to the terrace and get an even better view. If you are lucky you may be able to see the city down and also the many mountains which are there behind you. Stroll around to see the whole place. Soon its time to go back... Take the cable car ride back down...





Suggestions:
  1. Carry warm clothing (depending on how cold you feel), the temperatures would be around 5 to 10 temperatures (In Summer)
  2. Take many pictures 
  3. Don't worry there is free Wi-Fi so connect with your friends and share the beautiful view

Cruises can be great fun but the long and boring part of it is packing and wasting time roaming around and searching for places but packing smart and other ways can really help you save time before and on the cruise.  A few days before the cruise read the instruction manual carefully, if map available mark all the places you wish to visit. While  packing your bags check that you are not carrying flammables, irons and heating equipment so that while checking-in it is not removed.
